Makerszoon II

Make a difference. Wear the difference.

Good for your feet, better for the world.

Speyers, the netherlands (2026)

The Makerszoon concept was created by master shoemaker René van den Berg. Every pair of Makerszoon shoes is handcrafted to order in the workshop of the maker – in Utrecht by Wout.

No mass production. No unnecessary stock. Just honest craftsmanship, attention to every detail, and a fit made especially for you. Each pair is crafted from carefully selected, vegetable-tanned European leather and built to be worn, maintained, repaired, and enjoyed for many years.

Choosing Makerszoon means choosing more than exceptional comfort and quality. It means investing in craftsmanship that lasts, supporting local makers, and embracing a more responsible way of making things—where longevity, authenticity, and skilled craftsmanship matter more than fast, disposable fashion. You don’t buy a brand, you buy from the maker.

I have been making Makerszoon shoes since 2019. Images of earlier shoes can be found under “Makerszoon I”.
